Layden B. listed a number of car makers other than Ford that made Model T. A few more, and Model K other than Ford are listed below. I was surprised at the number of T and K models produced. The year listed is an advertisement or article date, not necessarily a production year.

I see that the Hotchkiss claims a four cylinder "en block". 1910 is a bit early for that, except for Ford of course. Hotchkiss is probably referring to the cylinders themselves as one, not the crankcase also.

Wayne, it took me a while to find these.
This series of stories appeared in fall issues of "The Horseless Age," 1907. The suggestion is that several European car makers had mono bloc engines, and that Ford "copied" the future T engine. A six cylinder runabout is mentioned. Later stories will confirm a six cylinder NRS chassis runabout driven by Henry Ford in Detroit. One of these six cylinder runabouts still exists.

Renault and others mentioned using monobloc engines, November 1907. I think these "monobloc" motors did not have removable heads, however don't know that for a fact?

Those were certainly interesting times! All the developments and copying around the world as automobiles leaped forward at a dizzying pace. Studebaker was often credited as the first mono-block six, hitting the market in late 1912 (1913 model year). They were also a no removable head side valve engine.
