After some blasting and 80 grit, I am down to this.
Is it necessary to have the drums turned or is this good enough to make them functional?
Not a good idea. Model T drums are too thin already. Just my 2 cents. Bob
Is that a parking brake drum? Your picture is hard to interpret.
This should eliminate all shimmy between 80 and 100 mph.
The more I look at it, I'm sure that's your parking brake drum. No, don't turn it, it's just a parking, or maybe emergency, brake. Should be fine like that.
Jerry, yes, it's a rear brake drum from from a '26, I had to tilt it to get a good pic.
For me leave them as they are
