Plan on molding those tree trunks out of concrete and facing a
#@!storm of opposition from the tree huggers for glorifying the use
of fossil fuels or some similar rub.
When I was a kid, sights like this were quickly disappearing from
the American landscape. It made them novel and I had the presence
of mind to notice and lament their demolition for the "new, cleaner
America". Now that our country is a sterilized, homogenous "blah"
of roadside landscape, I really miss the wonderful, organic way we
used to celebrate our achievements this way.
