Thanks to Mike Walker I got the original light switch! I owe you big time Mike! It looks like a poor design only used on some 15 to 17s it looks like bake light body that brass cover crimps on nothing holds body to firewall just the 2 screws hold cover and body goes in from passinger side fits snug in hole

Fantastic! Kudos to you both. I have seen a couple like that on cars over the years. Didn't know if they were correct or not. But I guess so!

You can coat the inside of the body with thin superglue, will help hold it together. It is amazing how much a change that will make in the part.

Wayne -- It is a correct switch used on some Fords of that time. The parts drawings for the light switch show both types. This "diamond" shaped one probably was not as successful as the rectangular one, since not many of them appear to have survived.

Paul -- Glad I could help. Pass it on. :-)

You're welcome, Wayne.

BTW, that less common switch apparently was used for quite some time, concurrent with the rectangular one. It looks to be original to Paul's '16, and that piece of one apparently was original to my March of '15 Touring Car, which was assembled pretty early in the '15 model production year. It has been some time since I looked at those drawings, but I'm thinking the two types were made by different manufacturers.

Fits great! Thanks to you Mike! That has to be one of the hardest parts to find! It's sure nice to know there are good people out there like Mike Walker! Thank you!
