I am overhauling a '30 Durant (4 cylinder Continental engine) That has a burned out rod and worn out main bearings.
The rods are babbit, Erik Barrett can take care of that, but the mains are inserts.
Somebody must have mains for the once popular Continental 4 banger engine that was used in several cars, boats and fork lifts.
Maybe Olcar bearings might have them or a lead.

You might look at the VCCA site;
to see if there are engine rebuilders that could do shell type bearings. The Chevrolet engine used shell bearing for the mains even back in the 4 cylinder era. Also;
Why don't you get Erik to flow Babbitt on the insert surface and then machine them to size?
You might have luck looking at the rod bearings in a Ferguson TO20 or TO30. Those were continental engines and I suspect wouldn't be hard to find. Check some of the tractor forums if for no other reason to get the crank pin diameter to see if they are a possible match.
