I have entered the Sugar Valley Rally in Scottsbluff, Nebraska scheduled for the first part June. Will there be other Model T's there? Has any one attended this event before? Is this a "fun" or "serious" even't ? I hope it is not too serious of an event. I heard the scenery is great to see in an older car.

I have attended the Sugar Valley Rally and it is a great time! Amazing scenery, good roads, little traffic, great food, lots of different cars and great folks! Very friendly participants as well as spectators. There are a few who are serious but a fun time for all.

While you're there be sure you visit the pass where 50,000 covered wagons a year wore tracks deep into the sandstone. It's quite a sight. Most of the Oregon Trail was spread out over a width of two or three miles as people went around ruts and holes, but on that section through the pass all the tracks came together.

I will be attending the rally with dan ...I have attended many of the Sugar Valley rallys since the very first ...very well hosted , fun event , some participants are very serious and others are just out for a ride in the country ...either way ,I have always enjoyed this event and recommend it to any who enjoy driving their car for more than just a few miles at a time ...the hospitality of the western Nebraska towns is SUPER ...a job well done Sugar Valley Rally organizers !Always an optimist ...gene french

Part of the scenery includes a restaurant that is home to the 'Testicle Festival'. We had a great barbeque there about 4 years ago. Otherwise it was a great ride through the rain and wind, and Speedy Bill's great museum.

Dave, this is a different tour. Scottsbluff is about 400 miles west of Lincoln, where the Speedster Reunion is held. Are you going to Lincoln this year?

I was trying to agree with Mr Walker. Flat like Kansas. At least Kansas has sunflowers instead of nothing but corn. Still on for Lincoln.

Drifting south: There's an old saying that folks who think Kansas is flat have never ridden across it on a bicycle. No real mountains, but plenty of hills.
