Following the foot of snow we got on Friday last night I was tinkering in my (unheated) garage on my 27 Coupe last night and when I came inside at 9 pm I noticed it was already -9 deg C.
This morning I found this article -
It was colder at Lake Pukaki on Tuesday morning than the summit of Mt Everest.
Mountain-forecast.com forecast a minimum summit temperature of -19C overnight Monday on the world's highest peak.
MetService meteorologist Rebekah LaBar said Pukaki, near Mt Cook, recorded the -20C temperature early on Tuesday.
A spot near Mt Cook in the South Island dropped to -20C early on Tuesday.
New Zealand's coldest temperature on record was -25.C in Ranfurly, Central Otago, in 1903.
"It's a question finding a place in the South Island that didn't go below zero last night," LaBar said.
This pic was taken in Summer, March at Lake Pukaki which is only a few minutes down the road.
I like the body and wire wheel colors together
Thanks George.
