Any experience with the Covered Wagon enclosed trailers from Georgia?
It would appear they use an I Beam frame which means they have outriggers extending to the bottom of the trailer:
The outriggers are notorious for broken welds.
This leads to trailer frame flexing - racking of the structure - tearing of the roof.
I am on my way now to Fitzgerald, GA to pick up my replacement trailer from Colony Cargo Trailers:
I will only do business with them ....
Wow, that's a $5000 increase in price for an all tubular frame?
Try calling Tim Woods at Colony Cargo Trailers
Thanks for the tip Jim. I called Tim and he quoted me a better price than the Colony Cargo website had. At $1.60/mile he can deliver it to me cheaper than what I can buy a (non-tubular) Covered Wagon trailer for here in League City!
Tim is a great guy ....
Found some online reviews about Colony Cargo that mention Tim:
I went and looked at the 8 1/2 x 20 enclosed Covered Wagon trailer.
Anybody own a Covered Wagon enclosed trailer or know anything about them?
Dirt, dust, and soon rust winds up on the web of I beams under almost any trailer!! Bud in Wheeler,Mi.
Having known Tim Woods for over (3) years,
spending a full observing him doing business w/ customers,
he has earned my trust and respect.
