I love early speed equipment, but these two drivers are absolutely certifiable. Front end on this car at speed is clearly about as tight as a soup sandwich.

Scott

This wasn't just an experimental prototype, but a world record holding racer. The bore/stroke make it about a 1575 cu. in. (25,802 cu. cm.) engine. This early 1906 article describes the racer, along with the late 1905 one km world record:

To bring Ford into the discussion, seven pages later in the same issue of "Motor" magazine, mention is made of the upcoming 1906 Ormond (Daytona) races. In addition to Darracq, the other high powered racers mentioned are Napier, Ford, Wayne and Fiat. We are currently asking the Old Car Festival organizers to put the Ford racer on display during the festival. Perhaps another of these magnificent racers will make an appearance......
