By James A. Golden on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 - 04:12 pm:Today was the first time I looked close at a 30 X 3 1/2 Demountable Rim, which appears to be New Old Stock.
It has CWC stamped on the inside and CLE stamped vertical on the left side of one lug and WES stamped vertical on the right side of the same lug.
This could have been manufactured by a Cleveland West Corporation or Company.
I have never seen or heard of such a company, but it may exist.
Has anyone else seen a rim like this?

By Layden Butler on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 - 05:06 pm:I have a 1929 rim catalog which shows CWC 30 x 3 1/2 rims with 4 lugs, apparently aftermarket replacements made by Cleveland Welding. The NOS part does not surprise me as the depression soon put an end to much of the new aftermarket business, most people started making friends at the wrecking yard.
