Im looking at a 59 Edsel Ranger Sedan. How are is it to find parts for it if ever needed?
Maybe ask these folks?
Better hope no one is ever texting and runs into the back of you.
Unless it is a hardtop or a convertable, you are wasting your time and money.
Mechanical parts are much the same as Ford's and Mercury from the same year, so they're available - only the largest engine in 1958 is troublesome to get parts for. Body parts, trim and interior parts are harder to get.. Less repro stuff available (none?) for the 59's than the '58.
Don't know what's your experience in Indiana, Jack, but I'd say a station wagon would be as collectible and almost as expensive as a hardtop over here - and even an Edsel 4d sedan would be easier to sell than a Model T, and probably get a better price, depending on condition.
I think you might have been thinking of the Pinto.
