26 Tudor Is there a gasket that goes in the crescent
shaped area in the front of the oil pan that the end of the crankshaft rides on? It seems like there should be something but I can't find any gasket or seal in the catalogs. Also, Do I need to put O rings on the pedal shafts on the hogs head to reduce oil leakage around the shafts? Thanks, for your help Rand

Super, Thanks Bob. Is this gasket available in the catalogs? Maybe I need to take a second look. How about the O Rings on the pedal shafts? Thanks, Rand

Originally there was a felt or rope seal in the pan that the crank runs on and another in the timing cover on top of the crank. They can be replaced with a modern neoprene seal if you have the engine apart. All are available from the parts guys. O rings on the pedal shafts will reduce leakage there and are also available from the parts vendors. You have to modify the the pedal cams to use them, just a chamfer on the cam to give room for the O ring.

Thanks Erik, I can't see this gasket in the catalogs so I'll give a call to them tomorrow. I will probably find some O rings here locally. Rand

Rand, go to the link below. Mike Bender has a series of videos on rebuilding T engines and transmissions. Scroll down to "Engine 34 Oil Install Pan". These are really good videos. PK

The three kinds of crank shaft seal (felt, rope, and neoprene) are on Page 51 in the 2015 Lang's catalogue. The other dealers will have them too.
