A friend made this valve using information from the forum.
Thanks to all who helped.

Next we will need to drill the holes for the valve to make it a working generator.

Does anyone have any idea what goes on inside the upper tank as far as plumbing? I don't know what gets hooked up to all of those holes that are in the bottom plate which is shown for the upper tank.
Is there a replacement filler and cap available?

Thanks

Herb

Herb-
Is this what you need?

Jerry Hubert used to make E&J generator replacement caps. He may have some still. The threads are different from the original, but when it is screwed on you can't see the threads. He has a special ring that is to be soldered over the original ring. In your case, maybe it can be soldered right to the tank. I'll PM you his number.

Please let me know what you do for the gasket. As you can, see I need one.

Aha! My upper tank is empty. I have the bottom plate for the upper tank, but did not know that it was fastened with the nuts as shown. What is up there to bolt to? Is there a gasket between the steel plate and the bottom of the tank? If there is, then there would be another gasket between the upper and lower tank also. Right?
I think the gasket question was asked on here not too long ago. I think the answer was a large O-ring. I guess a search for that would help.

Thanks

It is starting to make sense.

Herb

Okay Herb, Here you go...

The gasket is not flat.

Please show us the underside of your top tank.
