Does anyone know the difference in the metal part of the top one man bows for a 23 touring and later models. Is there some measurements I can make to tell the difference? Good comparison pictures would really help.

I am asking for help for Mr. Eddinger. He bought a set of top bows from me and claims they don't fit his body.I am hopefull one of you guys who lives near Sacramento can go and see if you can ascertain what his mounting problem is. It is tough for me to diagnose a problem from Indy and help him fix it. I will help all I can,but so far have been unsuccesful. Thanks in advance.

A quick way to differentiate between 26-7 and the earlier one man top is the rear socket. The 26-7 has a bit of a curve right before the nut on the body iron, where the earlier is straight all the way. Sorry, I don't have measurements or photos ( without copying from the internet). If you search for photos, you should see the difference easily.

I have no problem with Jack on the bows I bought from him he has been very helpful. My problem is with the front irons they are built a tad different at the area where the hold down brackets for the windshield are mounted. The iron that attaches to the windshield one side is about 1 1/2 to 2 inches longer than the other one so things do not line up good when I mount them on the car. This measurement is from the point that the iron attaches to the rest of the irons to the point where it attaches to the windshield bracket. I will try and get some pictures tomorrow which should be a bunch clearer than me trying to explain it.
