I see a post about front wheel bearings that began my thinking about what maintenance should be done.

Ford owner's manual says grease every 200 miles.

Actually Fords manual says "Grease every 500 miles" and with the old felt seals and bad roads the early ball bearings may have needed frequent checks and reapplying of grease. With new roller bearings filled with modern grease and modern seals running on smooth and dry modern roads, checks and reapplying of grease can be done with longer intervals.

Use high temp disc brake wheel bearing grease and repack every 20,000 miles or 10 years, which ever comes first.
Gotta be careful when adjusting the play though, when you tighten the outside nut it pushes the inner race into the bearing and tightens everything up more than you'd want.
There is inner/outer movement of the outer race on the threads.

I agree with Aaron.

Actually chassis grease will do the job about as well as wheel bearing grease. The same stuff you put in your grease gun and that you put in the grease cups.
Boat trailer bearing grease may be the best.

What's the issue here...these bearings are the same as used in modern cars.? Actually they appear over-designed for the T front end weight. Just treat them like you do on your car.
