On the 1924 to 1925 closed cars, A pillar, the outside cover between the header and cowl, was it one piece or two. Did it stop at the top of the lower windshield frame? Or did it go from cowl to header, one piece? I have a cowl, the cover is cut level with the top of the lower windshield frame, it looks too good not to be factory.
Was the same cowl used on the two/four door and coupe?
How many splines is the drive shaft to pinion shaft connector and approx size. It should have two thru rivet holes, one at each end, correct?

On my late 25 coupe, the pillar metal ends at the belt line. The pieces either side of the windshield are separate. The seam is hidden by the belt.
My 24-25 tudoor is that way too.
So the outside A pillar covers are one piece from the header to belt line, bummer! I understand that they are separate from the actual cowl.
Mark, There are two versions of the cowl. The molding below the windshield frame is integral with the cowl on some and a separate piece on the other. This may affect what I think you are asking. Sedans and Coupes used the same cowl but probably both types shown. I think the second type used an aluminum molding nailed on.
I think the separate molding was a '24 feature and the integral one is '25. I think that is one of a few items that distinguish the two years from each other. Dave
It has the aluminum belt molding so guess it's a 1924. The part I am asking about is the piece with the wire wrapped around it in above photo. The cover that goes on the door pillar ("A" pillar) to cover it.
The first 4 pictures are of the later cover. The last 2 are the early one. They look to be the same except the early one is about 5/8 longer. I suspect the change was made fairly early in '24 as I have seen many more of the later type than the early. The early cover was nailed to the wood at the bottom under the molding. the later was not.
This shows the early cover and nail holes. You can see where the molding covered the cover and the cowl.
Thanks for posting the photos. The top one is the info I need. Guess both of mine were cut off right at the top of the lower windshield frame. DARN!! They both were cut off at about the 12 inch mark in the one photo showing the side view and tape.
FWIW the body parts list shows the 2 cowls. One for 1924 and the other for 1924-25. It doesn't differentiate between the two lengths of panels or what we have been calling covers.
Thanks for the "FWIW". Talk about pin point what I have.
