Looks like someone really wanted to beat Ford's 20 horsepower.
Thanks Steve.
Been There!! The drive to Thermopolis is just as nice as almost anywhere!! Fast moving river in the canyon and many trains on the other side! Nice park but i missed the swim! Bud in Wheeler,Mi.
The author had a vision, saying those horse teams will be a thing of the past. Cool postcard Herb!
The old photo reminds me of the 20 Mule Team Borox photos and adds from years ago. Makes me wonder if you can still by the Borox product?
Used to see it advertised with the mule team logo.
Read somewhere once: Use 20 Mule Team Borax and have your wash smell like a 20 mule team.
John..if memory serves me right I saw some in a store a coupla years ago but I could be wrong.
Yep you can still get it!

Nice picture, but did you notice the price of the stamp on the card? 1 cent and look at the price now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot say for certain, but understand that the twenty mile team was only eighteen mules. The two leads were horses as mules were more difficult to control.
I also understand that mules are smarter than horses. A horse can be driven or ridden hard enough that he will die on the harness. When a mule gets exhausted, he will stop. Nothing you can do to him will make him pull to his own death.
That is what I have been told by old mule-skinners.
Drive carefully, and enjoy. W2
