Been There!! The drive to Thermopolis is just as nice as almost anywhere!! Fast moving river in the canyon and many trains on the other side! Nice park but i missed the swim! Bud in Wheeler,Mi.

The old photo reminds me of the 20 Mule Team Borox photos and adds from years ago. Makes me wonder if you can still by the Borox product?
Used to see it advertised with the mule team logo.

I cannot say for certain, but understand that the twenty mile team was only eighteen mules. The two leads were horses as mules were more difficult to control.
I also understand that mules are smarter than horses. A horse can be driven or ridden hard enough that he will die on the harness. When a mule gets exhausted, he will stop. Nothing you can do to him will make him pull to his own death.
That is what I have been told by old mule-skinners.
