Going to a candle store tomorrow, while there I thought I would puck up some wicks for my side lights for my 26 roadster (non-electric). Does anyone know what size is required. My guess, 1/2" wick

My 1915 wicks are 3/8". Lang's catalogue shows the same wick 1915-1925. Doesn't mention 1926.

Per the encyclopedia:

"Oil lamps an option on non-starter cars in early 1926 only (those built in 1925) and were the same as the earlier lamps"

I have a E&J tail lamp NOS example I just recently obtained and as the others have said, the wick is 3/8".

The burner wick is smaller than the 1914 and back square lamps which take a 1/2" wick.

Walmart only had 1/2" wicks. Price $2.47 for five 8" wicks.
