Can anyone tell me about the hood corner leathers on a 26 roadster.
1st drill hole mesurement so I can at least get the hole drilled in the right spot.
2nd how was it mounted i.e. Threaded side down??
3rd I see two different types of leather - one is just a folded triangle like I have now and a new one is on the market that has a special rounded cut shape and some "crease" that is supposed to be correct?
These are the ones I have now
Also - use split rivets or Rex crush style like shows on the link?
Here's an earlier post about them: https://www.google.se/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.mtfca.com/discus/ messages/411944/469011.html%3F1407601785&ved=0ahUKEwjTgaCZkLXJAhUkJHIKHaVOBtMQFg geMAE&usg=AFQjCNEIZ3IRZcPb_hWhD7nNl10CiVQTgA&sig2=jZPVI6rsv7wFLO-sBcV-aw
Travis, if it was mine, I wouldn't drill any holes, especially if the hood is an original. I'd be looking for some kind of glue, "Shoe Goo" comes to mind. Pretty tough stuff. Dave
Since they don't appear until the august '26 price list, it's likely it's a mainly 1927 model year feature.
