This is a great program. We have been attending for about the last ten years. The French Model T folks enthusiastically love to drive, eat and drink - NOT necessarily in that order.

The "Hospices de Beaune" Olivier mentions is one of the astounding things you see in France. It's a hospital in the city of Beaune opened in 1452 and remained in commission until the late 1970s. It is amazingly preserved. It would be interesting with the Model T's parked in front.

Phil,

We will take pictures in front of the hospices de Beaune!
The purpose of the concentration T Ford, and always to introduce participants with picturesque places, and integrate our model T, cultural and architectural heritage of the regions visited.

Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost and what problems might arise in sending a T to France for this event from a port on the east coast?

There are always a few American cars shipped over for the London-Brighton Run. They use a special shipping agent who handles the details. There are a hundred things that can go wrong, so you really need a professional to handle it. As for cost, I would bet you'd be talking $5k round-trip. I've shipped a few cars from France; some from Le Havre and others from Rotterdam. In this case, two cars in a 40' container would be the easiest way.

Thanks Phil,
Maybe too much to bear, but it would be a fun trip, Perhaps someone else wants to share a container?

No I did not repair the Touring 1924. I would participate with my new Touring 1912 or possibly 1922.

I could not think of any better way to take in the sites of France than from behind the wheel of a Model T. Hopefully one day when I am in a position to travel, this tour will be still be happening and on my list to participate in. Good luck with all your preparations Olivier.
