Does anyone know the size of the die needed to fix the thread on a T spindle, and is there one for left handed thread?
Thanks in advance

Thanks Fred. That list says 3/4-16. Grangers has a set that has that die. They may also have a left one too.
In the past I've used a small file to straighten out the damaged area on the spindle then used a good spindle nut to chase the thread slowly. It worked pretty well.
Hal, I have both dies, try Drills and cutters.com

MSC or ENCO is likely to have your best price. You can build your own by cutting notches in the id of a nut with a hacksaw and then adding an internal taper and cyanide hardening with a torch. You need to make sure there are no burrs before you harden the nut. You might want to split the nut and start on a good part of the thread and work outward over the bad part. You can use a pair of vise grips to hold the two halves of the nut together.
These have helped me out for years.
