Over a thousand books have been written about the Model T Ford and hundreds of books have been written about fire trucks and the fire service, since 1908, when the Model T was introduced. None of those books were specifically written to recognize the Model T Ford’s contributions to the fire service.

Bill Killen has written a new book, Firefighting with Henry’s Model T, that features hundreds of color and black and white photographs of fire apparatus built on Ford Model T chassis by more than twenty American and Canadian fire apparatus builders.

The book will be in print and mailed to interested parties by August 10, 2008. Bill will be at Motel 6, Richmond, Indiana next week, with a proof copy of his book. Go to http://www.billkillen.net/modelt.html for more details and an order blank.
