Hi Guys,
I purchased a dual cylinder Bridgeport Brass tire pump at Hershey. The pump says "AEOLIS" on the top to the pump housing. I need to find a source for the leather pump seals. I have the seals for the later pumps but this one uses 2 sizes, one larger and one small. Does anyone out there know where I can find the ones I need.
Thanks for your help.
Brent
Brent,
Are there any leathers left? The old trick of turning the leather cup upside down and reversing the edge usually works great if the leather is still somewhat intact.
Jerry,
The old leathers are shot. That's a great idea, but there's not much left of them.
Thanks
Brent
Try a place that sells and repairs farm and industrial pumps. Trash pumps use leather gaskets and they come in many sizes.
Back in "them" days, the T owner would make his own from an old leather work boot.
I got my leathers from Clay Atkins. His email is atkns82@shawneelink.net. I'm sure he gets them from a farm supply, but we don't have any of those around here any more.
Thanks guys for all your help. I should be able to find something now.

Larry,Clay makes those leathers new. He can make about any size if you ask him. He's very reasonable too.
