hi i live in France
i research testimony, photos, technical paper... on the new Universal Ball cap T3369BRM sold by Mac's with ball bearing included
thanks in advance
Herve,
I think most people are realizing that the original style, babbitted ball caps are the most trouble free. That's my take on it of course.
Herve,I never knew i even had the ball bearing style intill engine teardown after breaking a crankshaft!! Yes the ball bearing was starting to go bad and i dont know if it had anything to do with me braking a crankshaft but you can bet your last dollar/euro a ball bearing will NOT be found in that engine again as long as i owne it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bud.
Hello Herve,
I am not an authority, but from the tests I have ran on three dip pans, four dip pans used on a pre 26, and a 26 setup I personally would not use a ball bearing setup except possibly on the 26 setup because it "gives" by far the least of the three.
The four dip used on a pre 26 is the poorest for give.
With new and better brakes and over and under transmissions A fairly sloppy fit on the ball cap might be a good idea.
Just my opinion!!
hi very very thanks to your answers on this web site, and on my mail.
If you have the technical paper (supply with this part) you could scan to me on my mail hervcdric@yahoo.fr
thanks
Don't use it. I've never heard a positive comment on them.
