I have a 1902 Fort Plain Spring and Axel Dr. Runabout: and a 1903 Fort Plain Spring Axel Dr, Runabout. I person Cars, Under 1300 pounds loaded,
1 Cylinder under 3.8 Hp. Do 15 Mph at Best.

I understand LSV, under 15 MPH Extremely Limited,
to NYS Parks with posted 15 MPH Controlled.

Or Controlled Special Events:

Lights on front and Back to run;

But when did Antique Cars have to have Seat Belts????? and Parking Brakes??????

Is someone pulling the wool over my eyes????

Wow! Pretty interesting pair of cars from the sound of it, sound like cyclecars. Can you post some pictures please?

As far as I know, antique cars don't have to have seat belts as long as they are registered as antique vehicles with appropriate plates. Ditto I believe for parking brakes.

In Iowa,if seat belts didn't come on the vehicle, you're not required to have them. Post 1964,I think. No additional lights or turn signals, If they didn't come on the car. I have the same license plate on my 23 truck that's on my modern truck. We used to have plates labeled "Antique" and as I remember you could only drive to special events, limited mileage, parades, etc. I think they dropped that because they were cheaper.
