Today the temp in St. Louis got up to 60 so I had to get the T out and drive it. Just went out to Micky D's with the wife and my youngest for lunch but it was great. I had a herniated disk in my back so I was unable to even get in the car much less drive it since our club tour in early October. I had surgery to fix the disk 3 weeks ago today and what a relief. I had the same surgery in 73 and was laid up for a full 6 weeks. My have times changed. The weather guesser's are guessing at big thunderstorms for this evening and it is very overcast but still warm enough for a very pleasant drive. Man it was good to be back in that car.

Steven

Hello Steven:
Been there and done that with the back surgery. I'm
just happy I can tie my own shoes? I think that driving your T is a form of physical therapy? Well, it does make the burgers a little more tastier!
Steven, stay well .......

Harvey ....

Steven, I was tempted as well, but ended up doing more mundane stuff around the house. It's even warmer today, but it was raining when I went out to get the paper. Oh, well.

It may not be raining in St Peters, but it's raining in Kirkwood. Maybe some other time... :-)

Foggy here in Knoxville but supposed to get to 70 and be sunny in a while. The T is serviced and ready to roll as soon as the sun gets through. Maybe that will satisfy the withdrawal symptoms for a little while.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas

Tom

Steven-
"Been there-Done that".
I had the herniated disc about 17 years ago. I think the procedure used on me was new at the time. Very scary and painful time for me.
Glad to see you on your feet and recovered so fast. Great looking family and car.

Howard and Harvey,
I had the same surgery on the same herniated disk back in 1973. The large cut and the heavy handed fix on my back had me laid up for a full six weeks. I had to have it done or I would not have been able to walk all these years. This time I had just a small cut and the surgery was only 45 minutes and I returned to limited work in only one week. Medicine has sure improved over the years.

Dick
If you want, on the next warm day maybe Anja and you would like to join us on a short trip? I'll call you if you would like.

Christmas was good here. Thanksgiving was better. Our daughter and her new baby came home from Alaska, our son in law got two weeks leave from Iraq and it was a wonderful time even with my back hurting. I could not participate in the Thanksgiving parade, but I sent my two sons and my son in law in the T to be in the parade. They said they had fun. We watched the parade on tv, when the T's came up the station cut to a reporter giving away some tickets. I learned later that it was because my oldest stalled the T and had trouble starting it. He just needs more experience.

Happy New Year everone.
Steven

Steven, the TV station that covers the parade each year always cuts to something else when the T's come by!

We'll see the next time a warm day comes along.

Dick
