The following was moved from the 2015 forum at: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/506218/601148.html?1451952800 I moved it here as an example of how to move a thread.

How does one move an entire thread from 2015 to 2016?

Sounds like a job for our greatly appreciated volunteer moderator, send Chris a PM letting him know which thread you would like to see copied over to 2016.

Respectfully moved/linked

John,

In the past as an individual I have moved the last several posts on a thread with a link to the original thread for continuity. That takes very little time -- I just copy and past it in. For photos it takes a little longer as I have to save the photo and then add them back in. In most cases you do not need to move the entire post just enough to refresh peoples memories. If they don’t remember it – they can use the link to go back and see all of it.

And I put a link on the old thread with a request for folks to post to the new thread. Some will go to the new posting while others will post on the old thread. But either way, in the future if someone reviews the 2015 thread they will be pointed to the new 2016 thread or if they review the 2016 thread they will be pointed back to the 2015 thread.

Chris could move a post -- but he is already doing so much for us. That is one thing many of us can do for him.

And we get the address on a windows computer at the top of the browser. Just highlight it and right click to copy it (or highlight the address and while holding the ctrl key down hit the “c” key. ) I usually past it back together in a Word document, because I sometimes get interrupted and the internet may drop off while I’m off doing something else.

Respectfully moving a thread from 2015 to 2016 forum,
