The building is still there. Big building for such a small town.
There must have been a Hupmobile dealer in town. Twice as many as Fords in that lineup.
Hobart is the Kiowa county seat. I suspect the big city building may have been constructed when the town was flush during an oil boom. That's what happened in Pawhuska. The Osages were rolling in oil dough and lots of big fancy buildings went up. Now the place is almost a ghost town and a lot of the impressive downtown buildings sit empty.
