Hi Folks, can anyone tell me where or if a "EE" Crankshaft is marked or maybe a picture of one?
Thanks for any help!
Bob, here is a pic of the markings on my crankshaft.
There are two places where the "EE" can be found on a Model T crankshaft. The first is on the side of the rear throw between number 3 and 4 cylinders. Here it will appear embossed, as the EE was part of the forging die. The trademark of the forging maker will be found here as well.
The second place the EE can be found is on the vertical surface at the front of the crankshaft, just in front of the fall pulley. Here it appears as the two letters EE stamped into the front of the crankshaft and are about 1/8 inch tall.
The EE steel markings can be found in one of these places or another, and sometimes in both.

View of 'EE' marking on end of crankshaft, this one the other 'E' isn't stamped too well.
Guess the better steel in these cranks is difficult to metal stamp
Useful info!
Thanks fellows, very good info now I know where to look!
