I just receive news of the death this morning of Don Meadows, our Nashville friend. I don't have further information. Please remember his wife Mary Helen and their family during this difficult time.
Sorry to hear of this,he was a nice guy.
Very sad. He was a fixture at Chickasha since the early days. Two years ago he came by my space and said hi. He was having severe eyesight problems then. I don't recall seeing him there last year.
That is sad. Don was a friend of mine here in Tennessee. He even babysitter my kids before. He will be sorely missed.

so sorry to hear that. Been to his place 3 or 4 times, nice museum he has now.
What a Great loss to the Model T community. I also considered Don a Great Friend.
I was at the Indy Swap meet about 20 years ago and a bunch of us were eating at a baffet. There were probably about 20 of us and Don walked in talked a bit we continued talking waiting for our bills. They never came Don walked out I think with his grandson and bought the entire meal for all of us. I'm 46 I was in my early 20s then. Now I'm becoming one of the older guys. I hate to see these names in hobby gone from us.

Don was a really good guy and I have missed talking with him. I first met him in 2000 at Chickasha. We had a common interest beside model T's. We both had cattle and we would just have a great time talking about farming. I think the last time I saw him at Chickasha was 2012. His eye sight was failing but he had his grandson there to help out at his vendor space in the North building and was teaching him the art of the haggle. Each year I attend I try to get around and see the folks I've done business with and more times than I'd like to admit as I get older those familiar faces are painfully absent. Don will be missed.
