I wondered the same thing. Gray wheels ? Gray pinstriping ? Actual wheels painted gray sounds unlikely.

If you look at the original '12 Torpedo in Bruce's book it also has light colored wheels with dark pinstripes so this may not be out of line. Interesting Rob. MG

I doubt the author mistook gray wheels for gray tires. My guess is either the wheels were gray from the factory, or painted by the dealer. I wish the body style was mentioned. I do know the previous Ford owned by Dr. Bryan was a two cylinder with removable tonneau. However, that article didn't say if it was a Model A, C or F.
