Just going through and trying to clean-up/clean-out some parts cabinets and I can't remember the proper name for these.

thing
thing1
thing2

They are 1/2" tall/long, with a 7/16" ID and a 5/8-18 thread. Somewhere in my head I know what they are called and what they are for, I just can't remember right now. Any help would be appreciated, any ideas you might have might knock my "saved" information loose.

Is that a threaded bushing? Not sure what it is exactly for, other than possibly protecting wire insulation from rubbing off.

They use them on table lamps for where the cotton covered wire goes through.

I've always known them as a Ferrule bushing.
