I wonder how many fit in here originally?

I have a crate like that one. It is for one carb, the special choke cable, the hot spot tube and hardware, small parts and the instructions. It takes up most of the room in the box.
The exhaust manifold also came with it, that's why the box is so long. The hot spot has to have a hole drilled between the # 2 & 3 ports so they supplied a manifold with the outfit.
In the days before plastic boxes and cardboard boxes a nice wooden box like that was a treasure to have and a lot of them were saved. I have a couple, one with a carefully removed lid.
Stan, Thanks for the info about the exhaust manifold being with it. I will have to add a manifold to my crate and parts. It will be a good use for one of my warped manifolds with good threads. I think I already have one with the hole in it ... I also have a nice wooden crate that the Ruckstell Axle was shipped in.
