I‘m working on front brake on my T.
I have seen Rick’s car few years ago, nice work.
Does anyone using McNerny or Todsmith. I know Gene Carrothers' homemade setup (based on period McNerney-Big Fours) very nice.
Does anyone have some photos?
Thanks for any advice
Stefan, There is a bunch of past threads here on front brakes. Try doing a google search for them here similar to this - Front brakes MTFCA.COM
Always add the mtfca.com after your search statement.
Here's a link to some pictures Chris Bamford took awhile ago.
I've built some exact copies of the McNerney brakes. Some day I will probably make them for resale, but not yet. I haven't finished testing.
Couple of things to consider;
1. A improved "non reversible" steering box is desireable with front brakes. Another option is to totally rework the front axle geometry
2. A "wishbone doubler" is essential
3. The pan socket has proven adequate
