A club member came over today to have some new spokes pressed. The rim he had appeared ready to take Model T spokes, however it had the mounting bolts permanently pressed into the rim and 5/8" holes for the spoke ends.
I wondered if it was a T after-market wheel and he said someone had suggested it was from a Buick.
Anyone have any ideas
I don't know about the pressed-in bolts thing but, some Model T felloes actually do take 5/8" spoke ends. Photos??
While the T rims do have two sizes, the item that I have not seen before is a rim where the attachment bolts are permanently attached. They are mounted in oval holes using oval shoulders and then are crimped so they are both permanent and immovable. I don't have a good cu but this will give you an idea of what it all looks like.
