Everybody is welcome to join in the Ohio Jamboree. We get attendees from many states, and yes Jersey folks are welcome too! You all come!!
The Jamboree is approaching fast. Here’s a quick overview of some of the events for the 2016 All Ohio Model T Jamboree.
On Friday we will tour around the Findlay area with a stop at the Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation for a train ride. There are also two optional Friday tours; One to Fostoria and the Iron Triangle Rail Park and the other to Bowling Green and Snook's Dream Cars. Friday evening is the Ice Cream Social at the Hancock Historical Museum. There will be tours of the museum and the new Transportation & Energy Building. Dixie Land music will be provided by the Honey Creek Preservation Jass Band. And of course, the Ice Cream by Findlay’s own Dietsch Brothers Fine Chocolates & Ice Cream.
Saturday’s tour is a trip to Grand Rapids, Ohio. Along the way we’ll visit with the Schroeder’s near Leipsic and look over their extensive collection of antique tractors and engines. After lunch at the Mary Jane Thurston State Park you can drive to downtown Grand Rapids which offers a chance to see the historic town and an opportunity for the ladies to spend their husband’s money in some of the shops. Saturday Night will be the indoor auction which generates seed money for the 2017 Jamboree. Be sure to bring an item or two for the auction to help next year's club. Also, bid high and bid often.
Sunday morning will start with a banquet breakfast then a tour to Kenton, Ohio. We’ll stop at Brims and see more motorcycles than can be imagine, plus cars, bicycles and Cushman motor bikes. Another stop will be the Hardin County Historical Museum. One of their things of interest would be the early antique cast iron toys that were made in Kenton.
Registration mailing deadline is August 5th.
