Proofreading, or just good fun ? I had a girlfriend who had a very funny habit of spangling
familiar words or phrases. She was terribly embarrassed by it, but it was pretty cute and oft-
times funny as hell.

My favorite was "the fecal position", as in: I was buckled over in the fecal position.

After minor thought, it seemed pretty obvious that in this context, fetal and fecal were perfectly
interchangeable words, but "fecal" had the heavy advantage of a much more familiar and graphic
imagery.

I have since deleted the word "fetal" from my use in this context. :-)
