We are out of St. Louis on our way to Yellowstone hauling our 26 Fodor. We drove the T 40 miles to North Platte to see the Golden Spike RR tower and back with no problem. Using the T to go to lunch it stopped pulling and only free wheels. I am hoping it's only the pinion gear come off the drive shaft. I have the car were I can work on it I just didn't bring a wheel puller with me. I hope someone is around that can loan me one for a day or I will need to have mine over nighted tomorrow.
I called a friend in that part of the state, and he is sending me an email with a few nearby old car people phone numbers. If you send me an email direct, I'll forward his suggestions.

Spent last night in Cozad.
Just drove thru North Platte early this morning.
I am outside of Casper, WY right now - otherwise I
would lend a hand.
Sure hope it turns out to be something simple, don't let it spoil your vacation!
Looks like you may have just experienced a plains thunderstorm. Good luck,,and keep us posted.
Steve, did you hear a pop or a snap before you lost power? The ring and pinion gears in the rear end are new so hopefully the pinion didn't break in two.
