Random number indeed, though it may have been one of the first 1923 style Fords that reached the dealership (made in september 1922) so that would have merited it for a parade through town
So was this serial #6,531,390 or did they include everything from the Quadricycle on up into that number?
I would like to have it!! Tim
Tim: Good enough number for a local ad, an exact number would likely be impossible to determine after Ford ended the practice of stamping a car number on the patent plate after early 1915. Complete engines sold as spares were also numbered, and Canadian production wasn't included in the USA engine numbers. But the whole Ford production 1896-1908 was only in the range of 25,000 cars or about the production during 4-5 days in the most hectic T year, 1923.
Bob, Dale, Royce and I remember it vividly.
