I got some good news on this the day before the anniversary of Model T 15 Million's production day.
They're renovating the Ford Engineering Campus in Dearborn but are making efforts to preserve history. They're knocking down Wind Tunnel #2 which incorporated parts of the old Ford Airport ticketing office. I believe that changes were made to the building back in the fifties.
During the demolition, they carefully removed the ticket window and the few pieces that were original to the remodeled structure and these historic pieces will be re-used in the new structure. If this new construction is anything like what they did to the engineering laboratory, history will be preserved.
Tom, good to hear. I'm glad FMC has an interest in their past and not just a corporate future. Thank you for the update.
