As the Ford shop manuals provide information on the proper set up of coils, they show illustrations for the HCCT.

My question is - did Ford manufacture its own HCCT? Or were they manufactured by various companies to be sold by FMC? Did Ford encourage the dealers and dealer repair shops to purchase directly from Detroit or the branch assembly plants the HCCT?

Finally would a HCCT that was purchased from Ford be identified as such?

Yes, Ford did a short production run about 1919. They have a Ford part number 18-Z-245.
