I've been reading Wheels in Victoria and saw these ads that I don't think have been posted.

Interesting that Tarrant were still selling non starter cars in 1924.

When I was growing up in the 1950's it was common for a lot of my school mates to have Pen Pal's in other countries.
I am sure that it was not exclusive to Australia.!

Not sure about the wording in the advertisement.

Pen-letter refers to the Ford script. Such script is created by the use of split nib pens, where the down stroke is broader than the up stroke. It is a style most often used in calligraphy.

Thank you. I was married to an Aussie woman for 12 years, and thought I knew some of the local expressions, but I'd never heard this one referring to calligraphy.
