Nice photo, just lightened it some.
Must be the bad roads back then, see that stack of wishbones on the right. Lot of bent wishbones from ruts in the roads.
On the far left side is an Autographic Register. These were hand cranked devices that had two or three paper feeds in them. The clerk wrote on the top page and the hand writing went through to the other pages. Then it was cranked forward and one copy given to the customer. The other copies went into the bottom for later use by the accounting department. Also, with the other copies going into the bottom of the device, those copies couldn't be changed, thus preventing embezzlement or other modifications.
There are still some places where these are used.
What a great picture. The guys look like someone walked in while they were telling a story..
I just cannot see those being wishbones!? Not unless those men are all about four feet tall?
Great photo though.
Can I please have 5 tyres and tubes? Can I use tap and go?
