Just spun the valve stem out of a 30x3 1/2 Low air and a slick rim contributed. Anyone have a suggestion about painting some sort of rough or non slick coating on the rim? Tire had a liner installed.
The key is air pressure up to 60lb and metal stems will help prevent that from happening. Yes the tubes are expensive but compared to fixing a flat the cost is tolerable.
Never had any problem. I use metal valve stems and 60 lb of air.
