It takes at least two bidders with deep pockets for a price to go way high as this one :-)

I was told that to snipe an auction on ebay you should put in a high bid like this one and then 5 seconds or less submit. This is why I have never tried that.

There were 6 different bidders. At one point the bid jumped about $1200.00. Apparently the material was worth what the bidders were willing to pay.
