Looks like part of a toilet seat hinge.

Not OT. Model T speedster windshield mounting bracket :-) . (Well, I have seen several speedsters with ones like that!?)

I've got to go with Wayne Jorgensen's answer. Wayne Sheldon, can you find any pictures of what your talking about? , cause I can't unsee a toilet after viewing these.

Ed, That's exactly what I see and told the seller so but they say I'm wrong and this is a rare Chevy part. What is that old saying there's an ??? for every seat.

Howard, you know, Chevy did cut corners. That might be why you see so few of them from the 1920s.

Thomas, is that why it's a rare occurrence to "flush" one out?

Sorry Howard D, I have never been impressed enough by one to take a picture of it. Quite a few years ago, a fellow was on an Endurance Run with a nice speedster with a small fold-down windshield that actually looked pretty good. He had done some alteration that made it less obvious what it was. Several people asked, and he answered. Unfortunately, within a couple years there were several cars with similar, but not so nicely done, windshields.
It is one of those things that can be put in the back of your head (pun in there somewhere) as a bracket that can be made to work on a creative recreation. There are many things that used similar hinges back in the day. Trunk lids, wind-wings, deck rails, and even hood or seat mountings could be made out of commonly available hinges. However, it is best to try to modify them to look a little less like what they started out to be. A couple of the copy-cat speedsters looked really silly. (NOT necessarily a bad thing? Any way someone wants to enjoy their model T?!)
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

One of the speedster books detailed how to make windshield brackets out of brass toilet seat hinges in the series by Jim Cullinane I believe.
