FLATLAND T’s CHAPTER – MTFCA – 2016 TOUR

The Flatland T’s of Kansas Chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America would like to invite you to join us for a Tour on Labor Day weekend, Sept. 3, 4, & 5, 2016. It will be based out of Council Grove, Kansas. We will tour the area Saturday and Sunday with a little something on Monday. The mileage will vary each day from 30 to 100 miles. Saturday’s tour will be to historic Fort Riley near Junction City. We have planned some neat stops in Fort Riley that you won’t want to miss! The tour on Saturday leaves at 8:00 AM. The Sunday and Monday tours will be in and around Council Grove.

The host hotel is The Cottage House in Council Grove. It has beautifully restored period rooms from the 1800’s and each one is different. We have a block of rooms at a special rate. Just mention you are with the Flatland Model T Tour over Labor Day weekend. The rate for the main part of the hotel is $100/night (plus tax). There are other rooms separate from the main part of the hotel, which are a little less expensive.

All meals and admission to attractions are on-your-own. On Saturday night we all plan to eat at the famous historic Hays House Restaurant.

Registration fee for the tour is $5.00 per car to cover mailing costs and incidentals. Make checks payable to the “Flatland Model T Ford Club”.

BUT we need information for a “Background Check” for anyone planning to visit Fort Riley, by August 1, 2016 (See the “Special Notice about the Tour at Fort Riley” at the end of this flyer).

SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT THE TOUR AT FORT RILEY
If you plan on going to Fort Riley on the Saturday Tour, there are a few things you will need to do prior to being allowed on the base.
First, due to heightened security EVERYONE entering Fort Riley will need to have a “Background Check” prior to the day of the tour. For this, we will need for everyone in your party…

Secondly, at the entrance gate, you will need a current Registration for the vehicle you are driving, Proof of Insurance, and a Photo ID of the Driver and All Passengers.

Again, we need to have your information for the Background Check no later than August 1, 2016. We have some exciting things planned at Fort Riley that you won’t want to miss!
