Just returned from our annual club Summer tour. One night after putting the hack into the trailer the lower windshield cracked. It is the older safety glass (two piece) and the inside layer cracked. It has the original type brass channel which is in good shape with only a couple of dimples caused during the first glass replacement. Any suggestions on removal of the glass without destroying the channel? Any suggestions on safely installing the new glass without destroying the channel or the brass frame. The car is a 1912 depot hack and uses a 11-12 windshield.

If it was me, I would take the whole frame, with glass still installed, to a local glass shop and let them do the work. I had both frames of my windshield done at the local glass shop in Hillsboro, MO and the price was very reasonable. :-)
