When the pillars are attached to the sills
no glue right? just screws?

I have always just screwed the joints. The frame twists so much the joints need a little wriggle room. If you do glue them, they are likely to break the bond anyway. in that case the glue is simply a filler of any gaps.

All body wood is screwed together, the only nails used are for the upholstery, but nothing is ever glued. The wood has to flex with the car as it moves. That's why the frame is riveted and not welded...it would be too rigid.
