My uncle was in the navy during WW1. After his ship was sunk, he transported officers around Paris. I assume he drove a Model T, I don't know. After he dropped off an officer, he used the car as a taxi to earn extra money.

After the war he drove a Model T runabout and converted it to a pickup to use in his business.
